Urgent Care Marketing: Facebook
Urgent Care Marketing Tip #1: How to Make Facebook Work for You
Most urgent cares are running extraordinarily boring Facebook pages that are hard to distinguish from each other, resulting in few “likes” and very little engagement. If you’re using Facebook in your urgent care marketing strategies, don’t be like the many urgent cares that are only halfheartedly keeping their Facebook pages updated. Failing to integrate Facebook into your urgent care’s marketing plan is a failed opportunity to show your community that your clinic is staffed with real people with families living right there in the same community.
So how do you make sure your Facebook page isn’t boring? Be authentic and grab your audience’s attention with interesting posts. Here are a couple of ways you can do that:
- Post candid but professional photos of your urgent care’s staff doing things that are a little out of the ordinary.
- Engage with people on Facebook by answering their questions and commenting on their posts.
Some clinics are already doing a great job with urgent care marketing on Facebook by posting quality content on their pages and engaging with their “fans.” Sisters of Mercy Urgent Care’s owner Sister Marie and CEO Tim pledged to their staff that they would dye their hair blue if they met their United Way fundraising goal. Sisters of Mercy got their Facebook fans involved by posting status updates encouraging donations. When they reached their fundraising goal, they shared a photo on Facebook of Sister Marie and Tim – with bright blue dyed hair.
After Hours Pediatrics Urgent Care does a great job getting their fans to interact with them on Facebook by hosting weekly Trivia Tuesday contests. Each week fans answer a trivia question for a chance to win a prize, with some posts garnering upwards of 50 comments. After Hours Pediatrics is providing an opportunity for people to interact with them on Facebook – one of the many reasons so many people have “liked” their page.
So remember: make your Facebook page fun and interactive and show you’re real people. You’ll get a whole lot more “likes” and a whole lot more effectiveness in your marketing campaigns.
