IT Department
These are exciting and challenging positions with a young, growing company. Our system is developed using Microsoft .NET framework utilizing ASP, VB, and C# using SQL Server databases which are accessed primarily through stored procedures. The ideal candidate for these positions will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills as they will be interacting with other software product developers, IT staff, vendors, internal users, management, and external customers. The ideal candidate will also be highly motivated and a flexible self-starter that can work in and respond to the fast paced environment of a small growing company.
Medical Billing Software Developer
Responsibilities:
- Understand all aspects of medical billing such as credentialing, claims generation, electronic remittance processing, etc.
- Work with claims clearing house (Relay Health) and insurance companies to debug and resolve issues with EDI data transitions
- Maintain software which generates claims, both paper CMS-1500 and EDI
- Research EDI formatting and requirement changes that may affect our customers
- Document requirements and develop design documents
- Identify ways to improve performance and user experience of system
- Participate in architecture design of system
- Able to take ownership of tasks and flow them through to completion
Requirements:
- Working experience as a medical billing specialist, EDI claims processor or similar position in the medical industry
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science preferred
- 1 year of experience in developing software

SQL Server Database Administrator
Responsibilities:
- Monitor databases and perform proper maintenance tasks for optimal system performance
- Analyze database performance and recommend proactive changes
- Understand the Practice Velocity data structure
- Work with development team to maintain data structure and develop stored procedures (data access layer)
- Optimize existing table structure and queries
- Research and fix data integrity issues
Requirements:
- In-depth knowledge of stored procedures, triggers, indexing, table normalization, etc.
- 3 years experience with Microsoft SQL Server
- Experience with SQL Reporting Services preferred
- .NET experience a plus
- Masters or Bachelors Degree in Computer Science
- MCDBA certification a plus
