Urgent Care Medicine Fellowship Announced

Last week marked what may be the biggest milestone in the urgent care industry since the founding of Urgent Care Association of America. The Urgent Care Association of America announced the approval of the first ever fellowship in Urgent Care Medicine. The urgent care fellowship will be supervised by Lee Resnick, MD at the Urgent Care Centers of the University Hospitals of Cleveland, Ohio.

This is the first specific postgraduate training in urgent care medicine available in the USA. The urgent care fellowship represents an innovative approach to provide the additional training necessary to meet the demands of one of the fastest growing specialties—Urgent Care Medicine.

Positions in the one-year fellowship are currently open to graduates of accredited Family Medicine and Med/Peds residencies. Qualified applicants can learn receive more information on the urgent care fellowship on the website of the Urgent Care Association of America.
