About Your Urgent Care Center

27. I am in the process of starting up an Urgent Care Center in Rhode Island. I am an internist/id doc, with plenty of ambulatory experience and plenty of experience working in urgent care centers. I am currently working with the SBA in putting together a business plan and securing funding. Can you suggest to me how to conduct the market analysis section? I think that I have a good location. It will be built by a developer putting up a shopping plaza - much of which is built. My building is going up after zoning and building inspection, which gives me about 10-12 months. It will be adjacent to a major road where the traffic count is 70k cars/day, very little competition in the area, upscale and growing surrounding towns, etc. How might I put this together in a tidy package?
Also, my biggest deficit is that I know nothing about billing/coding. It seems that your company is the place where I need to turn. I have to start at the very basics. I would like to budget the money for your software, etc., but would also like to know something about the process as well. Can you help me, and where should I start?

We do have the resources to help you through the maze of charting and coding.
We, also, have a sister company (National Med Network) that works with startup urgent care centers, covering all issues from beginning to end. Patrice Pash at National Med Network (ppash@nationalmednetwork.com) can help.  I suggest that you hook up with her, as she has worked with scores of startup urgent care centers in the USA.  As part of the National Med Network consulting package there is a cookie-cutter business plan that has helped many centers navigate the maze of obtaining financing. If you would like to schedule a phone call to discuss your location and other preliminary issues.  Please call Practice Velocity (888-357-4209) to schedule the phone call. We look forward to hearing from you.
