4. If our clinic has an urgent care that is advertised as such and is open after hours, should we be using Place of Service 11 or 20?
Thanks for your question. Unfortunately, the answer is somewhat complicated. Some payors want POS -11; others want POS -20. I would suggest that you use POS -11, unless a payor requires POS -20. Even some Medicare carriers are requiring POS -20.
